Mechanism
Photoacoustic effect: high energy released within nanoseconds creates a pressure wave that fractures pigment before heat spreads to surrounding tissue.
1064 nm treats deep pigment (dermal melasma, dark tattoo ink). 532 nm treats superficial pigment (sun spots, freckles, red ink).
